ATEX 137 & DSEAR Site Services
ATEX is the European Directive which governs safe use of electrical and mechanical equipment in Hazardous Areas (areas where there are flammable substances which have a risk of explosion). ATEX 137 is the EU directive that governs worker protection in Hazardous Areas. The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) is the 'framework' adopted by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) to facilitate compliance to ATEX 137 within the UK. Under DSEAR a site operator and employer has a number of obligations to minimise risks and ensure the safety of plant and personnel.
Sira Consulting offers a comprehensive range of site compliance services from DSEAR Gap Analysis or DSEAR Health check audit service as well as Hazardous Area Classification to IEC 60079-10 , recognised codes of practice such as Institute of Petroleum Part 15 (IP15) and customised point source release zone extent calculation .
