If we were to adopt a standardised, blanket approach to compliance projects, we would not get very far. We understand that companies have very different needs, requiring different approaches as to how we handle compliance projects.
One way Sira can offer a flexible approach to compliance is by offering a range of technical advice and consultancy services, designed to help you get the most out of your products, processes and plants.

Product Certification
Sira provides an initial free two-hour meeting at Sira Chester/Bakewell offices for new Ex certification projects, enabling us to identify any potential non-compliances prior to project commencement.
A fixed amount of time with a Sira engineer to go over a specific issue (help with instructions, fault analysis, problem solving, assessment & standards advice etc).
DSEAR and ATEX 137
Tailored consultancy for specific DSEAR issues (i.e. problem-analysis, 3rd party reviews, project-managed programmes and DSEAR workshops).
A written summary of observations and recommendations regarding your hazardous areas. Sira will carry out a one-day visit to your site to compile a brief overview of your existing plant and give you an indication of what is required to enable compliance with the relevant Directives and Codes of Practice. An independent 3rd party report will be issued, enabling you to plan a strategy to meet compliance.
A range of services, from management overview workshops to specific face-to-face sessions that enable you to gain knowledge of the concept with regards to your own company and products in relation to IEC 61508.
Quality Assurance
Observations and recommendations regarding your quality management system. Sira will carry out a one-day visit to your site and review your existing quality systems and give an indication of what is required to meet compliance. Together we will collate enough information to permit you to design an action plan to meet compliance when it comes to the QA audit.
Sira Laboratory
Facilities to help you test products prior to an actual approvals project. Sira can also construct bespoke test rigs and ‘hire-out’ lab facilitates for all your testing requirements.
