Sira has been examining products and issuing certificates against hazardous area standards for over 20 years. Our experience and expertise, coupled with our flexible and non-bureaucratic approach to work has made us the UK market leader in the conformity assessment solutions field.

Based in Chester, in the North West of England, Sira is appointed by the UK government as an EU Notified Body (No.0518) and is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) against EN45011, EN45012, ISO17024, ISO/IEC Guide 66 and ISO/IEC/EN17025, and also maintains IECEx Certification and Test Laboratory Approval.

We can examine and test your equipment against both European standards (EN) for ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, and International (IEC) standards for an IECEx Certificate of Conformity.

We can also issue UKAS accredited product certification against a range of other British, European and International standards, as well as issuing reports against other approval body standards, such as FM, UL, (USA), CSA (Canada), TestSafe, Simtars, ITACS (Australia), TIIS (Japan), NEPSI, CQST (China) & SAEx (South Africa). Clients can also use Sira certification to gain GOST approval, for entry into Russian markets.
