The Need for Knowledge

 

The DSEAR regulations state:

 “Before a workplace containing places classified as hazardous is used for the first time, the employer shall ensure that its overall safety is verified by a person who is competent in the field of explosive protection as a result of his experience, professional training, or both.”

There is a legal requirement for training of personnel in hazardous areas, therefore a step towards compliance is to ensure that adequate training is provided for employees.
