Technical Clarifications
The Ex certification standards are different to other standards in that they cover the application of protection concepts. The protection concept can be applied to many different types of equipment. When applying a standard to a particular product it is sometimes necessary to clarify the intent or requirement. The clarifications may be circulated and agreed amongst certification bodies. Sira also produces its own interpretations.
